Yes, the station wagon quest started with Jessie and sure enough, there it was on Craig's List. We decided to drive to Fallon, Nevada to check-out this rare car. Chevy only made "The Lakewood" for two years - 1961-62. We were a bit caught up in the background, the rarity and all. We met Willis at the local Love's and made the exchange.

Getting through Reno, NV was awakening. Nothing but bumper-to-bumper in and out. The expansion of the area shows what a lithium battery plant can do! I was a bit of a strain on the old engine, but we made it over the HWY 89 passes, through Lassen and home.
Time slows driving empty highways in a car that refuses to go faster tha 60 mph.
Another long driving day, but better than a wasted day in an unknown small-town motel!
